CAROLE ROBSON IS A WATERCOLOUR AND MIXED MEDIA ARTIST, WHOSE PAINTINGS CELEBRATE THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE IN AN EXPRESSIVE AND IMPRESSIONISTIC STYLE
She loves the freedom and transparency of water media, using it in a fluid and flowing consistency. She also enjoys experimenting with resist techniques, where one medium is played off against another, creating chance effects and interesting textures.
This curiosity about processes led Carole to experiment with digital art. More correctly called digital mixed media, she begins with her paintings, layering and altering them, searching for new and exciting abstractions and colour palettes. These digital works often go on to inspire new paintings, in a circular fashion.
Carole is also a popular art tutor and writer. In 2019, her first book, Painting Expressive Landscapes was published by Search Press Ltd. She contributes articles to painting magazines, including The Artist, and is currently working on her second book
